About Us

Makondo Surveys was established in May 2011 with the view of providing Professional Land Surveying Services, GIS and other Survey and Geomatics related work. The company’s head office is in Limpopo Province in Jerome, Malamulele, and its branch in Tzaneen.  The company provides professional services in all South Africa Provinces and also in other African countries.

 After completing matric/ standard 10, Mr. Makondo registered for a diploma at CPUT (Cape Peninsula University of Technology) in 1990. He successfully completed his first semester of study and then joined Department of Public Works (Limpopo) in July 1990 and worked as a survey technician in training, he obtained his survey diploma in 1994. He spent lot of time doing engineering survey (roads, bridges, pipelines, electric lines, setting out buildings, sewerage lines etc). In 1999 he registered for B.Sc degree majoring in Computer Science and GIS at the University of Fort Hare and got his Honours degree in GIS and Remote Sensing in 2002. He then joined the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform and got lot of experience in dealing with land claims and cadastral surveying. While with the DRDLR, he registered for a B.Sc degree in Geomatics(Land Surveying and GIS) at the University of Cape Town in 2004 and graduated in 2009.

Mr Makondo is a Professional Land Surveyor who is passionate about surveying and is registered with the South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors (PLATO) as well as SAGI (South African Geomatics Institute).
